Oviedo – Neighborhood Dems Fired Up for Next Meeting
January 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
The Neighborhood Dems group is about to fire up again! We suspended activities last spring, due to the need to support SemDems and our candidates during the election period. There was too much need for direct help to divide time so many ways. The elections are now over, and we want to resume activities, so that all the good spirit we built up for the election doesn’t go away. Our founders, Rob Bial and Kristine Kraus, as you know, have moved on to bigger and better things, so Frank Knoblauch and Ken Ray will pick up the slack to keep the operation going.
Our first meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 28, 2019, at the Oviedo Public Library, at 310 Division Street in Oviedo, starting at 6:00 p.m. As you may recall, the meeting will need to end approximately 7:30 p.m., because we have to vacate the room by 7:45 p.m. This first gathering will be to brainstorm where we want to go during the following year or so, what we want to get done, and how we can help prepare for the 2020 elections. There won’t be a guest speaker for this one. It will primarily be a chance for Frank and Ken to listen to your ideas and maybe advance some of our own.
We would like to meet monthly through at least March of 2020, extending potentially to June 2020, depending on how busy we’re getting with election activities. We’ll then go into recess while it’s all hands on deck and then reconvene the following January.
We appreciate you all for coming to the meetings through 2017 and into 2018. We’re looking to build on what we accomplished in that period and make an even greater impact going forward. We’re looking forward to seeing you all again and working with you to make Seminole even Bluer!
